About Us

Advancing Aquaculture Across Southern Africa

An integrated platform combining world-class research, hands-on training, biosecure commercial fingerling production, evidence-based policy advisory and expert consultancy — based in Lusaka, Zambia.
Our Story

Southern Africa's Only Fully Integrated Aquaculture Platform

The Tilapia Centre of Excellence was founded with a singular mission: to close the gap between the enormous growth potential of Southern Africa's tilapia sector and the practical constraints holding that growth back — poor seed quality, limited training, weak hatchery infrastructure, and an underdeveloped policy environment.

Operating from Lusaka, Zambia — Africa's #1 tilapia-producing country south of the equator — we serve farmers, investors, governments, and development partners across the region with an integrated suite of services no other organisation provides.
